Services
Grosvenor Windows was first established 40 years ago as a small family business in the Bolton area and has grown to become one of the North West's leading home improvement companies still owned and operated by the same local family. The business was started by Peter Mills in 1975, initially as a manufacturer and installer of aluminium windows.
Whether your house is traditional or modern, large or small, a town house, a bungalow or a cottage in the country, Grosvenor have the windows to compliment your home perfectly. All our windows are "A" rated as standard so you are assured that they are the most energy efficient. We also have the option of triple glazing which with a combination of warm edge spacer, Planitherm Total + glass and argon gas filling can give you a U value of only 0.8.
The Grosvenor Composite window is designed to replicate the 19th Century Flush Sash Timber window so it can be considered for use in Conservation Areas due to its authentic appearance. This authentic design is also appealing to any homeowner who wants a top end luxury window brand that can accommodate a 28mm double or a 44mm triple glazed unit with a market leading thermal and acoustic performance.
Whether your house is traditional Victorian, Georgian or a cottage in the country, Grosvenor have the windows with all the period features but in a modern low maintenance UPVC. All our vertical sliding windows are "A" rated as standard so you are assured that they are the most energy efficient. Triple glazing or acoustic glass can also be used to greatly reduce the noise level should you live near a busy road.

Fantastic service! We ordered doors from Grosvenor last year, over which time there's been a few problems (leaky windows - which were the manufacturers fault, not Grosvenors) - in all that time they've come out time and time again to sort the problems. They're a great company to do business with and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again because I'm confident that if anything went wrong, they'd always sort it out. Superb - I wish all companies were this reliable. Aug 2019 - The only thing I'd add at this point is I'm waiting for a window unit to be changed - I'll keep this review up to date

I thought by paying over the odds I'd be getting a good service. How wrong! I have never had dealings before with such incompetence. I had Windows and a palladio door fitted by Grosvenor 3 years ago and experienced a a series of inexcusable mistakes. Firstly, they fitted red beveled glass in the front door and blue in the Windows! Secondly, despite ordering obscure glass for the bathroom they fitted clear, as I live on a main road this was totally unacceptable.
When they replaced the glass it was fitted back to front. After being shown an impressive and attractive roof in the showroom we ordered the same to go above our bay window. What we got was and absolute eye sore. 3 years on.our very expensive palladio door has developed problems with the locking mechanism. A kick or push and I've no doubt the door would be forced open.
I do not feel secure at home or confident the house won't be burgled when we are not there. I have been constantly ringing Grosvenor for the past 4 months and thus far no one has even visited. The charming salesmen who accepted my business have become difficult and evasive. In desperation to have the door fixed, which is still under guarantee, I'm now considering legal action and notifying trading standards because Grosvenor have stopped engaging. Please be very cautious before spending your hard earned cash with them.

GREAT SERVICE. 20 YEARS AGO! My parents dealt with Grosvenor 20 years ago when they replaced the complete set of house windows and patio door (9 or 10 units). We couldn't fault them in terms of quality of product, price, or service. However, as can often happens when the original founding owner hands over the reins to the next generation, things can start to change - and, in many instances it's not for the better!
This is very much the case with Grosvenor. I've dealt with them a couple of times in the last 3 - 4 years and it's been 'OKAY', prices were high but the service has been reasonable - (Though wasn't too impressed one time when they told me I needed a complete new patio door after it developed a fault (and they would offer 25% discount on a new door).
I rang around and managed to find a trade supplier whom supplied, fitted the parts and repaired the Patio Door at a fraction of the cost quoted by Grosvenor!. (yes, the same patio door which couldn't be repaired according to Grosvenor because it was too old and they couldn't get the - obsolete - parts!). My latest dealings with them though mean they are not worthy of continued business.
I contacted them for a price for a new entrance door and surround. Sent 3 emails - no response! Rang up, they said they'd deal with it, took my number and email address - still no response! Rang for a final time, they said my emails must have gone in spam! Pointed out that it didn't explain away when I had actually spoken to someone! Quote arrived later that day, got my name wrong, no attempt to apologise for the significant delay or numerous chase ups!
Just the price and schedule of work. The price was significantly higher than the 3 other quotes I obtained! Well, if Grosvenor didn't actually want the business I'd have preferred if they'd just said that! I won't through my money at any company or plead with them to accept my business! Such a shame, they used to be a great company!
