St Helens Windows

Only got the windows fitted yesterday so I will update soon when I've spent some time with them. I got new windows and french doors due to the noise, draught and freezing temperatures that my apartment got to with the old windows. So far so good on the noise! The jury is still out on the insulation as it's not that cold at the minute. However, I had a great experience with St Helens windows. John the sales man was the most professional, competent salesman I've ever met and I must stress how comfortable he made me feel throughout the process which I cannot say about other window suppliers.

I had one issue with the company and this was resolved quickly and professionally. They are extremely competitive with price, I did not need to haggle unlike SafeStyle where they dropped from 9,500 to 4,000 due to the "best deal ever!". St Helens Windows gave me a price and that was that. It was approximately 1,000 cheaper than SafeStyle and a few hundred cheaper than most. I would currently recommend 100%, and I'll update this review soon on how good the insulation aspect of the windows are!

We have received excellent customer service from St Helen's Windows, and believe that they are a genuine and trustworthy company. As well as being members of the Trustmark Quality Scheme, they are also a fully registered business who have been trading for many years. We initially made enquiries and obtained quotes for a double glazed composite front door with side panels.

Our contact was mostly with Sharon D. who was very patient and came up with some great ideas. She gave us detailed advice about designs, which were quickly backed up by quality CAD drawings. Although (due to a change in circumstances) we decided not to go ahead at this time, we would recommend St Helens Windows for quality customer service and good trading practices.

The lads did a fantastic job, very respectful and did the job to a high standard would highly recommend st. Helens windows.

Promised quality on purchase. Not even reached their quarantee qoute yet and stuff falling apart. When contacted offered to look if they had anything lying round the yard that may fit broken unit. Making a offer of a call to talk about review after they already declined help in first place.

100% from beginning to end, the sales people were brilliant and very understanding, the builders, the frame constructors, the plasterer Rick and the electrician Geoff were great, very talkative to, clean and tidy, the surveyor Glen was really nice and Steve was great. What can I say about Lindsey.very efficient and made me laugh. The conservatory looks brilliant, solid and sturdy. Thank you very much all of you.

Still waiting, 12 months on, despite repeated requests and paying for this in the contract, for building regs sign off on orangery. Installers are fine but communication has been shocking from the word go. No way I would use them again

Decent price. Kept well informed at every step of the process. Office staff are helpful and pleasant. Man who measured up the job was professional and pleasant. Man who fitted the door was also professional, helpful and friendly. The new door and all the fittings are absolutely smashing.

Work completed today by Fitter Steffen, was perfect! He arrived on the time agreed. During removal of the old doors and windows, he kept the area clean and tidy. Before leaving, he went through the locking procedures and took away the doors and window he had removed. I would recommend anyone considering new windows and doors to use St Helens Windows. Definitely a Five Star Service at an excellent cost!

It's a shame you can't give 0 zero stars. An absolutely shambolic company. I was looking for a new front door, chatted with the agents online back in March, all seemed professional and promising. The agent came out, measured up, we chose our door - all was good. There were some errors on the contract regarding the door shape, but I was assured over the phone that they knew it was an error and they knew what we wanted. Paid the deposit (my mistake). Told 13 week wait. Surveyor came in April, so far so good.

It was an unusual shape and size door, but he seemed confident that it was fine. There are numerous houses in our street and on our estate (it's an arched door and frame). He said he'd put it into the computer and check it was OK. I heard nothing back so assumed all was well. Fast forward to July and I've heard nothing. I emailed the lady I'd originally paid the deposit to.

No answer. A week later I rang and was told there was a problem, that design couldn't be done and it'd been sat on the surveyors desk. I was told he'd gone off long term sick. Fair enough it happens, but really someone should have picked up his work. I'd been waiting for 3 months for nothing. No one had contacted me. Also, I struggle to believe that it can't be done as already mentioned there are dozens of houses locally with this same style.

I was promised a call back that night. Nothing. Two days later I phone again and was promised a call back from the manager. Nothing. A few days later my husband rang and was promised a new design by email that night. Nothing. The following week I phoned up to make a complaint. Was told the manager would ring me by the end of the day. You've guessed it - nothing.

So finally my husband phoned and we have managed to get our deposit back, which is about the only thing they've done right. So before you come back, claiming you don't have my name on file (I've seen your generic reply to bad reviews on other sites), I am more than happy to screen shot the contract and name names. Secondly, I appreciate staffing levels have been hit by Covid, because believe or not, its affected us all - but really?

Since March there has been no-one available to call me. Nonsense. Lastly, I know it was an unusual door, I even walked with the surveyor to a house down the road to show him what we wanted and was told "it should be fine", so he was well aware of the arch, but to not even offer an alternative or to contact us to discuss it, all the time sitting on our deposit, is frankly just downright bad customer services. So everyone AVOID, there are plenty of more reputable companies out there. I've now found a lovely man who is sorting it for us.

We were initially attracted to St Helens by their easy to use, design your own door software on their website. Subsequently rather than hard sell, they just helped us make an informed decision based on our own needs. There were major global logistical challenges when we ordered, which they explained up front and despite a wait we received the door around the time they estimated. The installer, Stefan did a great job, left it very tidy and was very particular that it fitted perfectly. Really pleased with our new door and would use St Helens again.

Fantastic from start to finish. Great communication and workmanship. I had groundwork, drains, foundations and then a garage conversion / extension and an orangerie with bi folds. The installers need particular mention. Paul and his team of Karl and James were polite, friendly, clean, respectful of neighbours and so quick in carrying out the work to a high quality standard. Can't thank the lads enough. Very happy with the results and how we got there through a pandemic.

Without hesitation I recommend St Helens Windows for your new front door. I received a high quality product that was expertly fitted, at a very competitive price.
It’s always daunting deciding which firm to choose when purchasing something as important as your front door, but throughout the process the St Helens staff provided the very best customer service.
Sharon in the office was always available to deal with my calls from initial enquiry to installation day. Glen the surveyor was prompt and took time to listen to my requirements and I even received a check-up call when the door was being made to measure. Shannon was always friendly to deal with over the phone and Dave (who for me was the star of the show) was the most conscientious work man I’ve ever met. I was impressed every step of the way with and I wouldn’t hesitate in using St Helens Windows in the future.
