Update 20/06/22 Still no respose from Smiths glass, though i did manage to speak to someone called Gary who said he woud pass my details on. Please Please Please think very hard before using this Company Update: 13/06/2022 They sent someone round just in December and he agreed that the issues need to be sorted by Smiths, but since then no response from Smiths, I even visited their factory and was told the service person was away on holiday but would sort out as soon as they got back, that was back in February.

The after sales and warranty seems to be worthless. The Issues: Colour peeling off and fading, sealed units breaking down, facias falling off, inside capping never fixed correctly in the first place. Please think very carefully before using them. I will update this review weekly from now onwards From day one I had nothing but trouble from this company, I have now had a warrenty issue with them since April 2020 and they havent even had the decency to get back in touch to at least acknowledge reciept of email sent on their system. dont touch them with a barge pole you will be dissapointed.

Still trying to get an answer from this company. as for the response from the company posted below, they are just trying to deflect away from their poor service. Think twice before you order.

DO NOT give this company any time or money. This company is atrocious and they are cowboys. I have left a deposit, brickwork removed from my home twice and one occasion I wasnt even home. Engineer didnt know what he was doing asking me what he should do. They took my deposit money and didnt return calls. Bearing in mind they opened a branch shop on my road you would think they would do better. And Ryan who writes the responses to the reviews does not exist. @Smiths: thanks for nothing. Company should be closed.

I have just just had my windows, doors and conservatory with Smiths. After I said I wouldn't ever have them again as they messed up my old house. The men turned up on Monday 16th may 2022 at 9am left at 11.30am saying they are done for the day. When all they done was take off my old conservatory roof and windows, left me when no roof and only the new frames, with a thin plastic sheet to cover my radiator and flooring (incase it rained)!

They said they will turn up at 7.30am on Tuesday 17th may however I had to call the office at 9.30am (2hours late) to be told they are on there way! I had no call to say there going to be late and the reasons why! The guys (Laurence he name was) said the van wouldn't start! Anyway again they left at 12.30 for in total worked 5 hours in 2 days. Wednesday they arrived at 8am! Cracked on with the work as they have all the windows doors and still the conservatory left to do!

To say they rush it all is an understatement, they had their music loud while I was working from home! Messing about like it was a party. I was left shocked, as soon as the men left at 4pm I get a call from Gary (office) asking for the rest of the money 12.5K I mean the men just left my house and they are quick to get your money without letting you inspect the work before hand!

I am left now going to the local papers and writing a letter to the directing manager due to the dodge work they have done! I called the office spoke to Gary again and he said he will get back to me, I am still waiting. I will show and upload pictures I have taken, if I can, DO NOT USE SMITHS, cowboy builders and the customer care are useless. The business needs to be shut down completely. I will NOT recommend this "company" again!

Unfortunatley there isn't a star low enough for this company. Sad to say I did some time working there and they don't pay and rip everyone off in their tracks. I expect someone from the company will try to come on and argue otherwise, but fortunately I've kept all correspondence or lack of I should say. I've given plenty of time to pay (over 2 months) but as I haven't been payed for time worked I have been left with no choice but to leave this review. They claim the old management team have all left and its all better now but its just the same.

These guys done all my windows and are amazing! The fitting and all the processes leading up to it were very informative and helpful. All the people I dealt with were very helpful and would recommend.

Initially gave a 5 star. Scott the fitter is first class.but 14 months after installation the first window misted up, followed within another month the second window misted. Contacted Smiths and got an automated reply saying how busy they are and that they would contact me. Never got a reply so emailed again. After 6 months of no reply I got a call and I thought great we can get this problem solved.

It was a sales call asking if I wanted more windows. Told them about my issues and they said someone would call me. Have had 4 sales calls and not 1 call concerning there poor windows. Gave up now, it's a hard lesson to learn but my god this is the worst company for customer care ever. Do not use.

Where do I start, the windows themselves look good, the price is good, but the service is appalling. I am locked into a legal process with Smiths, so I will resist saying too much. But anyone using Smiths should be aware they are not fensa registered as they claim, this will cause you serious issues if you do not seek planning permission, when it comes to selling your property.

You can also be fined for carrying out works that are notifiable, hence using a competent person scheme like fensa is advisable. If you, like I, have had windows and doors fitted by Smiths, then those are worthless without planning permissions. be warned!

The only reason I have given them 3 stars is because of poor after sales service. Left for months not knowing what has happened to my order. Ordered at end of May. Finally managed to speak to the manager, and received a call back saying the door would be fitted next day - 9.9.21! The Sales person, and the fitter was absolutely excellent. I cannot fault them. Fitter was tidy and cleared up any mess made whilst refitting etc. Would I recommend them? No. As stated only because of poor after sales service.
