A conservatory will add to the worth and desirability of your home. Whether you select one of the more modular designs or have one individually tailored to your exact needs, it's important to create a conservatory that is in-keeping with the look and architectural characteristics of your particular property. It should be a well designed extension that perfectly compliments the existing building, regardless of its position.

Awful quality with a dreadful office staff. We got 13 windows and 2x patio doors. First it did not comply to the building standard and we have had to argue with them to get a window changed. It took a year. The patio doors were not what was discussed. We asked for some with opening windows at the top. The office staff never sent us any drawing proof before the doors were delivered.
We brought this up to the office staff and he accused us of lying. We spent thousands on those windows. Then, there were the handles. We asked them black; they came in white. The office staff could not be bothered to order some in black and asked us to deal with this. Not their problem. Finally point, the windows have hairlines scratches everywhere and they are stained on the inside of both glasses, making it impossible to clean. Overall dreadful and expensive. We would highly discourage anyone to use them. I am referring to the office in Inverness.

Well I've waited since Jun 2021 to get a new tilt turn window and Velux fitted by Cairngorm Group Yesterday they came out to the fit the Velux and this is what I was left with.a shoddy mess! My roof tiles have been left in such a mess and some aren't even fully down. After calling them back to the job yesterday they sent the joiner who, as expected could not do anything about the tiles other than try and use sealant to help.
He himself said the roof should not have been left in such a way. To add to this the workmen used a petrol chainsaw in my open plan home without ventilation and warning resulting with my 4 month old son in direct contact of the fumes and being deafened by fire alarms. Luckily he seems okay. Today I've rang numerous times to be told I'll be called back or that there are no directors in the the building to discuss and get this matter resolved.
Personally I feel like I've been fobbed off. I'm angry but most of all I'm disappointed. I've waited so long for this project to be carried out and we thought we were using a professional company, how wrong we seem to have been.

Good quality conservatory built at end of last year. All tradesmen pleasant and worked efficiently to a high standard. Sadly communication from management was non existent and we never knew when to expect workers to show up. Phone calls never returned and appeared to be a distinct lack of planning from the managers.

Not impressed. Phone to make an appointment to arrange windows and patio door for kitchen extension to be told no appointment needed on a Saturday. Wasted a 2 hour round trip to find an appointment is needed on a Saturday. Phone again to arrange a visit and email plans and exact sizes. Arrive at appointment (another 2 hour round trip) to be told they can't do windows in the size I need!
No understanding of Planning, joinery or even how to email to let me know beforehand. The only useful thing they did was to suggest another local company who fortunately could see me straight away and who were professional in the extreme (and they use the same profile framing and able to provide my window sizes). Can highly recommend Norscot and suggest Cairngorm Windows invest in some staff training.

Probably the smallest task they will ever get asked to do, However - from the friendly first contact, and the welcome you get stepping thru the door, to the actual getting the job done ( simple remove some corners from perspex) FIRST RATE service and job done. A good guide to a business is how well they treat the small jobs, and these guys were 100% - Courteous and professional - -THANK YOU

Cairngorm conservatories built a conservatory for me in 2009. Since then there have been many problems of leaks, and most of all, problems with water, staining and insects in the polycarbonate roofing. The company also only built 1 drain soakaway but would not build another one on the other side, again, free of charge. The polycarbonate roofing has caused so many problems over the last number of years and the director has refused to accept any responsibility for changing the type of roofing free of charge.
He would not even replace the polycarbonate roofing panels due to excessive staining, caused by water inside the polycarbonate tunnels and the many dried insects inside these tunnels too. I would never recommend this company to anyone, after my experiences. Now, te roofing panels are coming apart. Am worried about what happens after the guarantee as the company appreciate to do what is necessary as long as it does not cost them money.
When the guarantee is over, what am I to do? They will bill me each time I need to have them out I guess. Really, am totally dis-satisfied with the conservatory roofing and polycarbonate roofing is no good for our climate in UK. My advice is not to touch this company.

We were surprised to see 2 negative reviews of this company, our experience has been 100% positive. We have recently had a new large kitchen and utility room installed by Cairngorm Kitchens and we have been extremely impressed with the whole team. We were warmly welcomed in the showroom and the designer took note of our requirements and gave us a good idea of what Cairngorm could do for us.
She visited our property to measure up and listen to our wishes. She then produced a very well thought out design which maximized our floor space and still provided much more storage than we previously had. We opted for supply and install and we were very impressed with the whole package. We had frequent phone calls from the project manager to keep us informed of what was happening next and make sure we were happy with progress.
Some of the tradesmen were employed by Cairngorm and others were sub-contracted but everyone involved turned up when they said they would, worked efficiently and cleared up every day. The main installers were amazing - friendly, efficient, tidy and unobtrusive. Everything was very well project managed and it only took 2 weeks from start to amazing finish, including decorating.
We were then given 6 weeks to 'live' with the kitchen before the designer made a final post installation visit to make sure we were 100% happy with everything. The quality of the units and appliances is just fantastic. Everything fits perfectly and the finish is faultless. It was expensive but in this world you get what you pay for and it was worth going for the supply and fit option to minimize the disruption and have a superb kitchen in a very short time. We cannot fault this company in any way and we can heartily recommend the Cairngorm Kitchens team.

We first approached the Cairngorm group in August 2015 to explore the possibility of them supplying us with a new kitchen and utility room. The sales staff were very attentive, and on the surface were switched on, very personable, offering to come out and survey our kitchen and were swift to provide us with design ideas and computer generated diagrams and quotations.
We were even invited to an open evening to be wined and dined in their showroom and meet their directors. We finally placed our order, and paid our deposit in December 2015 with a delivery date booked for early April 2016. The kitchen arrived on the agreed date after preparation work prior to installation. We chose our own team of installers, as the Cairngorm group's quotation seemed over - inflated.
We also selected our own worktop supplier who was considerably less expensive than the Cairngorm option for the same product. As we started to install the kitchen we noticed there were some errors on the order and that some of the items had not been ordered the correct size, and or damaged or simply had not arrived. We alerted the sales person we were dealing with, first by phone and then by email, and updated her on a daily basis of the items missing/damaged as the boxes were opened and fitted.
The Cairngorm group responded first saying it was not their error, but later agreed the items were indeed on our contract and that they would order the missing goods, and that we could expect them within a two week time frame as they had deliveries from their supplier every two weeks. Two weeks came and went, more phone calls and emails. Three weeks, one month.
Totally frustrated we made a visit in person to their showroom to discover what the hold up was. They made the right noises and said that they had assigned someone to deal with our complaint, however it has taken them 11 weeks to finally deliver the goods that were missing from our order, and this was only after a formal written complaint and the threat of legal action.
No explaination as to why the delay and no apology. We also discovered a string of mathematical errors, even though their quotes are computer generated (or so we thought, as I have since discovered the final discount deducted from the order is manually generated by the person who is inputting the figures). They also failed to deduct the correct amount of money from updated contracts for goods they could either not supply or we had changed, and were only found out when fortunately we had kept a catalogue print out of a particular items price and saw that only 3 items had been refunded instead of 4!
I wrote to the company director flagging up these errors and am saddened to report there is no integrity within his company in upholding what their sales person agreed with us, even though we have a paper trail and proof as such. We would urge any of you who are considering ordering a kitchen through this company to ask for a full breakdown of your kitchen so that all the figures are transparent, keep every email that is sent to you and make sure the discount quoted to you in their showroom is the actual discount given on the final quotation before you sign.
In addition if you, or they change anything on your original contract, insist for a full breakdown of the new contract you are signing and do not take it in good faith that the salesperson you are dealing with will not make mistakes, but more importantly will rectify those mistakes. If you are looking for a company who offers good customer service and is able to communicate with you and is efficient, then this is not the company for you. However, we can't fault the product they supplied us, as it is of good quality.
We firmly believe in giving local firms our business rather than the big nationals. It is a both a pity and somewhat surprising that a family business is not more approachable and pro-active in dealing with customer complaints efficiently.
