5 years since installation which was poor - various issues that are still on going. Was told that these wouldn't be addressed unless I retracted a review which I did. I have still got a lot of issues still awaiting and 2 years later not a response. I visited their h/o to complain and Quentin assured me that this would be resolved - 6 weeks later not even a telephone call - next stage will have to be legal. Avoid like the plague (or covid). Tried to shop locally and look what you get!

Absolutely dreadful and unprofessional customer service. Booked an appointment for extensive product quotes and confirmed in advance, with both myself and my partner booking time off work to be here. At 6pm the evening before the appointment recieved a call from the sales agent to say that he would not be attending as he had been told by his boss to go and "sign up" another customer!

After responding to say that this was too short notice to cancel the colleauge text back with the following I have managed to move my other appointment back to 12.30 so I will see you at 10. Kind regards Spencer Half an hour later a second text My boss has told me that I've got to go and sign the deal up that I arranged and that if you don't want to rearrange for next week then unfortunately we will not be able to help you on this occasion.

Kind regards Spencer (westcountrywindows) The total lack of integrity and authenticity says it all really. For a company to openly be so oblivious to their repuation and service skills leaves us feeling very glad that we had not trusted them with actual money! This attitude may well be profitable in ther short term but in the long term will be very destructive to the business - the lack of common business sense is shocking but better to discover now than later I guess. Maybe they just became used to wasting peoples time that its normal to them.

WCW recently installed a full house of windows, front and back door and I am incredibly happy with their service. The salesman was very informative and the quality spoke for itself. Dean and Liam were very friendly and took time to put down dust sheets and even offered to hoover up! Overall I am very satisfied and wouldn't hesitate to use WCW again.

Excellent installation of our 6 windows and beautiful new front door. Dean and Liam were a pleasure to have around, did a lovely tidy job, took great care when working inside the house and were very patient with our nosey dog! They even took the time to adjust doors that were not part of the project. Although, I thought I would miss the fanlights, the new windows seem much bigger without them and we still get fresh air, without a draught, from the windows on the security latch!

The advice we were given by the sales chap was good, it is worth doing your research first so you understand a little about your double glazing options, otherwise the process can take a lot of time! Be prepared for a delay between order and installation, Covid and global supply chain issues have obviously affected many businesses with so much being manufactured abroad and staff shortages creating additional problems, although not an issue for us personally, as we were not in any hurry.

It also means you are likely to get a phone call the day before to see if they can attend, which is not always possible, but they do call just in case, you might be free. Our thanks to Angela too, for her help on the accounts side, very friendly and helpful. So pleased we chose to go local and independent, following a recommendation from my husband's colleague, following a good job replacing his windows.

My one star rating for WCW relates to their guarantee and service. We were quite happy with the installation of our doors, windows and conservatory fully backed by their guarantees. BUT they are impossible to contact for a service request under the guarantee, do not reply to emails ( which is the only way you can request a service) and they then want to charge 85 call out even though covered by a guarantee.

We have waited over 3 months for a repair to a leaky gutter. We have sent 4 emails, from May, June, and July, , tried to call into main office which has been closed, and contacted the sales line, which is the only line they answer but they just say send another email. To add insult to injury, as WCW would not respond I arranged for the gutters to be repaired myself at a much lower cost. WCW finally responded just after, and kindly informed me that, after waiting over three months that the gutters are not covered by any warranty and if repaired by anyone else, they would not cover the warranty on the whole installation, even though only the gutters would be touched. Conveniently WCW can only find the emails from 26th July.

Totally dissatisfied with the attitude of this company now after our initial satisfaction with the installation and we would DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY, as they appear to be only interested in selling, and their warranty is not worth having.

We had a conservatory fitted October 2019 on our very old, uneven wall property. On installation, we were concerned that lead flashing was not being used on the joint between the conservatory and the house wall. However, we were told they were using "a new product which would be just as good". The day after completion, we had issues opening the window.

When we phoned they could not understand why we were phoning as they said the workmen were on site with us. They were not and had clearly booked out a days work to us but had already finished! 3 days after installation, we had heavy rain and discovered that not only had WCW fitted us with a conservatory, but also an indoor swimming pool as the roof joint had let in a lot of water.

They came out and told us that the new product they had used was fine but just needed banging down more which they did. 3 months later, more heavy rain and another leak. This time they agreed to put up lead flashing. This seems to have fixed the issue - however, there are many more issues which have not yet been fixed - or even acknowledged despite 13 months passing since we registered our problems, 7 emails, 10 phone calls, 3 online forms being filled in, 3 text messages and a letter being sent.

The only person who you can talk to is Chris on the sales line who just says he will pass my details on. He did phone me back the time before last and said that the service manager had been out to my house ( without phoning first so I was at work!) and left a card on my door. He had taken a photo of the card in place! This was not there when I got home, having blown away and I yesterday found it in the garden under bushes when I was weeding!

Who sends someone out to see customers without making an appointment first? There are lots of problems which we are waiting to get sorted: Guttering leaking and on inspection had been filled with silicone on installation so was obviously a known issue Draught around back door Some caps on roof joists missing Trim outside not finished off Blob of unsightly silicone on inside of roof Inside back wall roof support coming apart in the middle at joint Leak coming in around window Boot scuffs all over roof where leak previously repaired General poor finish Whilst Covid can account for some delays in getting things fixed, answering phone calls and emails are Covid safe activities and this can only be down to poor customer service.

We have left making a review until now as were hoping to have all the items sorted and feel able to give a higher star score. However, having taken advice from Citizens Advice, we are now left with few other options than to pursue the company through the small claims court - unless, having seen this review, they wish to sort things out for us! As to a 85 call out fee?

We would not be needing to call them out if the work was done satisfactorily initially! AVOID THIS COMPANY! Edit. As you stated, one leak has been sorted after the job which should have been done correctly in the first place was eventually done. We just need the remaining issues sorting out. You are asking for photos - these have already been sent on at least 2 of of our many correspondences with you.

Amazing how we get a response within 10 hours when we leave a review - it has taken 13 months of letters, emails and phone calls with no response! Edit 2. Having sent a letter to the company stating our intention to go to the courts to get the many issues sorted, we had a visit from Steve and Jim within a week. They were amazing and spent 6 hours over 2 visits sorting out all the problems which were due to poor installation They also spotted 3 extra issues which we had not seen and sorted them too.

We could not rate them highly enough, very knowledgeable and professional, but would not needed to go through all this if the conservatory had not been installed so badly in the first place.

We went with WCW thinking a local firm would produce a product suitable for the area. Plus the 25 year guarantee sounded perfect. First a cat flap had been put in the wrong door. We were told no problem we'll just switch them. Doors open in the wrong direction but no other choice as removed doors trashed. 18 months in, locking joints rusted through, handles loose, rust stains all over window sills, crack in front door. etc etc.

No response from online form. Covid hits. Lockdown ends. Form filled in again, and again and again 8 months later I've had enough. Phone every number, speak to 2 sales reps (the only humans I could find) both told me almost a zero chance of speaking to anyone who could help. Left a raging message on the service answer phone. Mentioned FENSA. Got a call the next day to confirm address. Repair man calls explained the whole office had a good laugh at my rant.

Hey it got a response. Apparently all window problems are our own fault. Oddly told him not to bother coming for 85 call out fee. Now contacting FENSA. Sadly can't post with zero stars. Edit. Amazing. 8 months to return a phone call, 27 minutes to respond to a bad online review. No more needs to be said.

Initially we were very happy with our lightweight conservatory roof until the first storm when the roof was rattling as if it was going to take off and gaps appeared in the soffit! After a couple of text and calls the engineer arrived and promised to sort it.great! However the next day we had a leak in the roof so he must have moved something when he went up onto the roof.

After nearly 2 months we cannot get a response from anyone! The aftersales service is appalling. I am now thinking the 15 yr guarantee is worthless! I do not normally air my views in the manner but feel I have no option. I feel let down and very disappointed

We had the entire house windows & a door replaced and conservatory glazing. Very good sales, an excellent install. However the "after sales" service was abysmal. In spite of the website saying they have a person available they actually have an automated message system. Very bad at getting back to you and charge 85 regardless of the problem just to look at it. ( I had a drip cill fall of.and told to fix it myself up a ladder. I'm 72!). I'm sad to say on this basis its only 2 stars

Extremely disappointing experience - in May this year we purchased a property that West Country Windows had installed a large conservatory in 2013. On developing a gutter leak in the last few weeks, we tried to contact them to see if we could still benefit from the 10 year warranty supplied with the conservatory only 5 years ago. It took several calls to them before we finally gave up and have now gone elsewhere.

They do not ring back when they say they will. They do not reply to emails and they are rude and disinterested on the phone and seem to have no grasp on customer service. It also turns out that they lie blatantly to customers. One lady I spoke to told me something on the phone that I now know not to be true. This is disgraceful and unacceptable behaviour.

It is a wonder companies like this survive. To be clear, we went elsewhere due to the service received on the telephone (several calls, same service). In one of the phone calls we were however told that we could transfer the warranty for 75. We have not yet instructed anyone else to carry out any works on the leaking gutter which is insufficiently supported, nor have we ordered a new replacement solid roof.
